Major Data Centre Consolidation (37 months)
Steria’s contract with the National Probation Service required the consolidation of a distributed IT environment. Rocket and Cloud were engaged to design and implement a consolidation programme that had initially failed to meet expectations. We assessed current programme state; engaged with key stakeholders; led team of 40 SME’s; created the programme schedule; and fulfilled technical design assurance for the new data centres. We successfully delivered two data centre with front-office applications and a disaster recovery centre. This included a proven disaster recovery process that met the contracted Recovery Time Objective of twenty four hours.
OMNI-T Programme Bid and Proposal (37 months)
The extended duration of the OMNI-T Programme resulted in regular requirement changes which created several new business opportunities for Steria. We were engaged to direct bids and pre-sales work for several £multi-million projects. We used the strong pre-sales ability to engage with stakeholders; shaped business propositions around technology solutions; and created a cohesive reference architecture. We successfully won, design and implemented several high value change requests, making optimal use of the new data centres.
