Ministry of Justice Transforming Rehabilitation (12 months)
The MoJ needed to reorganise the National Probation Service into a single national service managed by the public sector and 21 contract package areas managed by the private sector, within tight government-led timescales. Engaged to redesign existing data centre infrastructure platforms to support public and private segregation. Replaced Microsoft File Clusters with NetApp FAS storage arrays. Successfully implemented infrastructure changes on time; provided technical oversight of the 10,000-user migration, thereby meeting the MoJ’s requirements and avoiding penalty charges for late delivery.
MoJ Probation Case Management System (39 months)
The MoJ were implementing a new web-based Java application, called National Delius, an associated national reporting solution. Rocket and Cloud were engaged to lead a 12 member SME team to provide the infrastructure design documentation and test environments. We implemented and proved the disaster recovery process, met the contracted Recovery Point Objective of no more than two minutes data loss; and hosted the National Delius application and national reporting solution. We successfully delivered the system which linked offender details across England and Wales for the first time.
MoJ Re-hosting Case Management System (24 months)
The MoJ needed to rehost legacy case management systems and national business applications. We were engaged to design and implement a replacement architecture. We led a team of 45 SME’s; designed infrastructure platforms; created disaster recovery procedures; provided development and test environments; developed technical migration manuals and collaborated with application developers. We delivered end-to-end design and re-hosting of the legacy case management system enabling the replacement of the 42 original IT sites.
